JOB SEARCH QUESTIONS:
What's the most effective way to perform a search?
Go to Search Jobs
1. Select 'Industries', 'Categories', 'Education', 'Regions', and 'Experience' fields. Click 'Search' and look through results.
2. Enter one or two of the most important keywords. Click 'Search' and look through results.
3. To search within results add more keywords.
Can you give me an example of a search?
For example, you are health and safety specialist with 5 years experience in mining industry, with Bachelor degree, and you are looking for jobs located in Canada only.
Go to Search Jobs
1. Select 'Management' and 'Engineering/Technicians' categories, 'Mining' industry, '4-yr Degree' education level, '5 years' experience level, 'North America' world region.
2. Enter the following keywords: HSE, "health&safety", "health safety", safety. Select 'ANY of the words'. Click 'Search' and look through results.
3. To search within the results enter in additional 'Keywords' field the following word: Canada. Click 'Search' and look through results.
How can I select more than one category, region, or industry?
To select more than one category, region, or industry, make your first selection, then press and hold the CTRL key (COMMAND on Mac's)
while clicking your other choices. To remove choices, press and hold the CTRL key (COMMAND on Mac's) while clicking the selections you want to remove.
How can I find jobs that contain specific exact phrase?
To search for an exact phrase, just put quotation marks around two or more words, for example "mining engineer".
Use this feature to narrow your results or to find words that can be typed differently, for example AutoCAD "Auto CAD".
How can I exclude jobs from search results that contain specific words?
Enter specific keywords and select "WITHOUT the words" from 'Find results with' list.
No jobs containing those words will show up in your results.
Can I use wildcard characters with keywords?
You can use only asterix (*) in the beginning or the end of any keyword.
For example, search with engineer* keyword will show jobs containing words engineer, engineers, engineering etc.
How can I find jobs that contain one of the keywords?
Enter the specific keywords and select "ANY of the words" from 'Find results with' list.
Use this type of search if you are looking for different words with similar meaning.
For example: HSE, health, safety.
How can I find jobs that contain all of the keywords?
Enter the specific keywords and select "ALL of the words" from 'Find results with' list.
Is there any difference between uppercase and lowercase letters in keywords?
It doesn't matter how you type your keywords.
For example, by typing ENGINEER and EngiNeer you will get the same search results.
RESUME QUESTIONS:
How can I post resume?
1. If you are not registered at IITR Jobs please register now. It's FREE.
2. Click 'Post Resumes' on a left panel. Log in if required.
3. Fill the resume form as required.
4. Click 'Submit&Preview Resume' button at the bottom of the page. Check for formatting and content errors.
5. If you need to edit your resume click 'Return to Edit'.
6. To save resume click 'Save Resume' button. Message shows that your resume has been saved successfully.
How many resumes can I post?
You can post up to 20 resumes.
How can I edit resume?
1. Click 'Edit/Delete Resumes' on a left panel. Log in if required.
2. Select resume from the list, make required changes and click 'Submit&Preview' button at the bottom of the page.
3. Check resume on preview page and click 'Save Resume' button. Message shows that your resume has been updated successfully.
How can I delete resume?
1. Click 'Edit/Delete Resumes' on a left panel. Log in if required.
2. Select resume from the list and click 'Delete Resume' button at the bottom of the page.
3. On confirmation page click 'Delete Resume' button. Message shows that your resume has been deleted.
How can I preview my resume?
1. Click 'Edit/Delete Resumes' on a left panel. Log in if required.
2. Select resume from the list and click 'Submit&Preview' button at the bottom of the page.
To close preview window click 'Return to edit' button.
How can I select more than one category or industry?
To select more than one category or industry, make your first selection, then press and hold the CTRL key (COMMAND on Mac's) while clicking your other choices.

What is 'Hits' numbers?
'Hits' is the number of attempts to view your resume by employers.
The number in brackets shows how many times employers have actually viewed your resume contact information.
How can I make my resumes more attractive to employers?
IITR Jobs offers you paid service to make your resumes more attractive to employers.
'Premium Resumes' (as low as 10 USD/month) are placed at the top in employer's search results and premium resume contact information is
avaiable for free to all employers and site visitors.
Use My Account to subscribe for 'Premium Resumes' service.
Why my resume(s) are not approved yet?
Generally resume is approved in several hours after posting. But if your resume does not match resume requirements,
it will not be approved until you change your resume according to requirements.
Please read carefully resume requirements in resume form.
I have posted several resumes. If several resumes match employers requirements which of them will be shown to the employer?
If several resumes meet employer's requirements, only one of your resumes that is the most compliant with employer's search parameters will be displayed.
JOBS BY EMAIL - SEARCH AGENTS QUESTIONS:
What is a Search Agent?
Search Agent is an automatic job hunting and delivery tool.
Every time when a new job is posted Search Agent checks if it matches the saved search parameters.
Matched jobs will be emailed to you using the email subject you specified.
This lets you efficiently organize your job search without having you to visit our site.
What is the best way to create a Search Agent?
Go to Search Jobs,
select and adjust search parameters. When you are satisfied with the search results click 'Save this search parameters...'.
How can I edit a Search Agent?
Click 'Get Jobs By Email' link on the left panel. Log in if needed. Select Search Agent you want to edit from the list,
make any required changes and click 'Update Agent' button. Message shows that your changes have been saved successfully.
How can I delete a Search Agent?
Search Agent will be deleted automatically after Expiry Date. However, if you want to delete Search Agent manually,
click 'Get Jobs By Email' link on the left panel. Log in if needed. Select Search Agent you want to delete from the list
and click 'Delete Agent' button. On the confirmation page click 'Delete Agent' button.
Message shows that the Search Agent has been deleted successfully.
How can I select more than one category, industry, or job region?

How many Search Agents can I create?
You can create up to 100 Search Agents.
ACCOUNT QUESTIONS:
How to use 'AutoRenew' option?
The 'AutoRenew' feature is always under your control. If you want to use subscription just once, DON'T check
'AutoRenew' checkbox.
If you want to use subscription more than once check relevant 'AutoRenew' checkbox. If you do, after your initial subscription has expired,
new subscription for the same period and same service will appear automatically and applicable fee will be charged again.
How do I cancel my subscription or stop subscription autorenewal?
Subscription will be deleted after expiry date or when limit of uses exceed. However, if relevant
'AutoRenew' checkbox is checked, new subscription will appear automatically.
To stop autorenewal clear 'AutoRenew' checkbox for the relevant subscription. Click 'Update Account' to save changes. If confirmation page appear click 'Confirm' button.
How can I cancel my account?
When all your subscriptions has expired your account will be deleted automatically.
Therefore, if you want to delete your account, clear 'AutoRenew' checkbox for all subscriptions. Click 'Update Account' to save changes. If confirmation page appear click 'Confirm' button.
The confirmation email will be send to you once your account has been deleted.
How is your discount system works?
We have two discount types that work together to provide our clients with great and inexpensive service.
First discount is based on subscription period or size.
You can find discount amount at 'Services & Subscriptions' table in brackets.
The amount of money you can save is relative to base subscription.
To give our permanent clients even greater befefits we have 'Permanent Client Discount'.
It's accumulative and based on the amount of money spent on IITR Jobs services.
Do you have any payment methods other than credit cards?
Yes, we do. We accept Western Union, Money Gram, checks (in USD), and money orders (in
USD). Western Union is preferred. Please read the following payment instructions:
