Job Description: | We have an opening for Marine Operations Team Leader – Abu Dhabi Job Purpose: Leads and manages the provision of marine operations support services to Company an ADNOC operations sites and other offshore operating companies, such as Company as governed by the drilling agreement. This covers planning, directing and supervising all moving and positioning of all jacks up units in Company and Company fields. Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience: • Bachelor degree in Marine Operations discipline or equivalent. Marine Master Certificate of Competency – STCW 95 11/2, Academic standard is an advantage. • 10 - 12 years’ of experience in Marine Offshore Operations including towing & diving operations, offshore towage and hands-on rig moving experience or completed the competency assurance program adapted within COMPANY system with a minimum requirements of 2 years’ experience as hands-on rig mover experience in OPCO fields. Good communication and Interpersonal Skills. • Proficient in English. Possession of valid UAE driving license is essential. • Duration: Long Term • Closing Date: ASAP Roles & Responsibilities: Principal Accountabilities • Provides general management of Companies with Operational and Technical Marine advices and consultancy services in respect of the company’s oil/gas production, development and exploration activities. Ensures fill utilization of available resources of Marine spread to ensure minimum downtime for vessels and jack-up fleet chartered by Companies • Liaises with contracting companies regarding performance and planned and unscheduled maintenance and prepares service orders for temporary ADHOC jobs or services. • Ensures effective liaison and communication between units, contracted marine and marine related services with government and international marine authorities. Provides operation support / advice to all related divisions within companies • Ensures detailed procedures are prepared to cover timely and effective provision of requirements and reviews and discusses improvements to such procedures. Initiates development and oversees proper implementation of systems to improve efficiency of department’s activities. • Implements work scopes as per government legislation, company safety management system and best industry practices and procedures. Establishes marine specifications for spread vessels, barges, rigs and marine services such as: Navigational aids, underwater surveys, diving activities and seismic surveys. • Contributes to the company’s standards and procedures regularly in light of changing circumstances and International regulations and local marine laws and recommends to General Management appropriate modifications/amendments to enhance/promote marine services and standards. • Ensures minimum downtime for contracted rigs and barges without compromising on safety through directing and managing marine operations team and spread. Ensures company guidelines for same are adhered to by subordinates and contractors at all times. Coordinate with production, projects, drilling divisions and 3rd parties, and plans and manages all drilling rig, barge movements and all offshore mooring services. Performs general administrative activities related to the teams’ budget, includes consolidating and presenting the budget, controlling expenditure accordingly, preparing and submit justifications for budget variances. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level as established by General Management for the position.
