Job Description:  We have requirement for Document Controller for a highly reputed Oil and Gas company in UAE. Document Controller Location : Abu Dhabi Based Duration : Long Term Salary : Negotiable Minimum Requirements: • Higher Secondary education certificate followed by one year training in computer operation including AutoCAD and other software. • 8 years experience in Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) in an Engineering Design Office, and has the knowledge of the activities of various Engineering Disciplines. • Good knowledge of written and spoken English. Job Purpose Provides technical support to the Company Engineers from all locations and consultant & contractors for the different new/ongoing projects. This include retrieval of technical documents related to design data sheets, specifications, engineering drawings, weight control reports for all the existing plants/facilities from Assess & Select stages to define & execute stage and normal day to day site operational requirements. Copy the final as built drawings/documents in to the server and enter/update/attach all the documents/drawings to the independent software module Eabox with all the information manually and provide efficient reprography service to all personnel. Principal Accountabilities • Checks and verifies all incoming Final Engineering drawings, Technical documents, operating manuals, report, received from Project Managers, Team leader through ESVT/L/DDSL and copies there into the server according to the established procedure. • Enters, attached and updates the data base for engineering drawings/technical documents operating manuals, reports, in Eabox software module for easy retrieval to end users. • Provide support to Engineers and Contractors by retrieving data sheets, specifications, drawings, etc. using Eabox and by manual search. • Routines archiving of different stages of project documents including Final Technical documents according to ADNOC’s archiving procedure. Monitors and takes action to dispose of documents that are declared to be no longer operationally required in accordance with approved procedures. • Collects the requested Drawings, documents, data sheets, specification from different dossiers and copy it on CD’s to be handed over to the Project Leaders at the different stages of projects. Accesses and copies international codes and standards from the web as part of the Project to be handed over to the Project Managers or Project Leaders. • Visit the island and the offshore sites as and when required to train the new personnel including to know if their requirements for documents as drawings • Liaises with Office and Personnel Services Team and Logistics Division for day to day photocopying requirements, archiving travel bookings to different sites for contractors and employees and maintain a proper logbook. • Liaises with Human Resources & Logistics for Contractor’s Security Clearance and arranging Travel Cards. • Operates TDS-600 and A3 scanner to print and scan drawings and documents with hyperlink / bookmarks and to provide all reprographic requirements. • Maintains CD library index for all the projects drawings/documents. • Allocates new area numbers, Project indicators in consultations with DDSL for different projects. • Performs other administrative duties as assigned by Supervisors including Eabox presentation and training to the new personnel in the head quarters and to attend the project meeting with supervisors.
